Phuket Dive Trips

Phuket is one of the most popular scuba diving destinations in Thailand, offering a diverse range of underwater environments to explore. The warm and clear waters around the island are home to an abundance of marine life, including colorful corals, schools of tropical fish, and even larger creatures like manta rays and whale sharks.

There are numerous dive sites around Phuket, catering to all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced. Some of the most popular spots include the Similan Islands, Racha Yai, and Shark Point, each offering a unique underwater landscape and wildlife encounters.

With its warm climate and stunning natural beauty, Phuket is a great destination for those looking to combine their love of scuba diving with a tropical vacation. Many dive operators offer packages that include accommodation and other activities, making it easy to plan the perfect diving holiday.

The scuba diving season in Phuket typically runs from November to April, during the dry season. This is when the weather is at its best, with sunny skies, calm seas, and great visibility underwater. Water temperatures during this time range from around 27 to 30 degrees Celsius, making it comfortable to dive in a wetsuit or even just a rash guard.

From May to October, Phuket experiences the monsoon season, which brings rougher seas, strong currents, and reduced visibility underwater. Many dive sites are closed during this time, and diving is generally not recommended due to the challenging conditions.

Overall, the best time to go scuba diving in Phuket is during the dry season, between November and April, when the weather and underwater conditions are optimal for diving. However, it's always a good idea to check weather and sea conditions before planning a diving trip to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience.
