Sidemount Rec Diver

The PADI Sidemount Recreational (Rec) course teaches certified divers to configure and use one or two scuba tanks on their sides instead of their back, offering better streamlining, reduced back strain, easier transport, and more bottom time with extra gas, all within recreational depth limits (typically to 30m/100ft).

Discover the balance and efficiency of sidemount scuba diving with your PADI dive instructor. Many divers find sidemount tanks are more comfortable and easier to put on in the water. Sidemount diving is also beneficial for divers who want improved balance and prolonged dives.

Prerequisites

- PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)

- 15 years or older

- Good physical health

FLYING AFTER DIVING

For your safety, we require allowing at least 18 hours on the surface after your last dive of the day before flying. Flying too soon after diving increases the risk of decompression sickness, as your body needs time to release excess nitrogen.

Please remember to check your flight departure time in advance and plan your dives accordingly.
