Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course (also known as Nitrox) teaches you to use breathing gas with higher oxygen and lower nitrogen than regular air, allowing for longer no-decompression limits, shorter surface intervals, and more bottom time on dives, making it very popular for recreational diving, and involves learning to analyze tanks, plan dives, and manage oxygen exposure.

Enriched air (EANx) contains less nitrogen than regular air. Breathing less nitrogen means you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals. No wonder Enriched Air Diver is the most popular PADI® specialty.

Prerequisites

- PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver (or qualifying entry-level certification)

- 12 years or older

- Good physical health

FLYING AFTER DIVING

For your safety, we require allowing at least 18 hours on the surface after your last dive of the day before flying. Flying too soon after diving increases the risk of decompression sickness, as your body needs time to release excess nitrogen.

Please remember to check your flight departure time in advance and plan your dives accordingly.
