The PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) course is
the first part of the Instructor Development Course (IDC), building Divemaster skills to teach portions of PADI courses like Discover Scuba Diving and Peak Performance Buoyancy, assisting instructors, and preparing you for the full Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program, focusing on teaching presentations, PADI standards, and diving business.

Prerequisites

- PADI Divemaster certification (or qualifying certification)

- EFR Primary and Secondary Care training (or qualifying training) within 24 months

- 18 years

- Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months

- 60 logged dives
