Search and Recovery Diver

The PADI Search and Recovery course teaches scuba divers how to effectively find and safely bring lost objects (small or large) to the surface, covering planning, systematic search patterns (like U-shapes, squares, circles), using tools like lift bags, essential knots, and navigating in limited visibility, making divers more skilled at retrieving anything from dropped keys to anchors.

In the PADI® Search and Recovery course, you’ll learn how to find lost objects underwater. You’ll practice different types of underwater search patterns and learn how to use a lift bag as you plan and execute mock search operations.

Prerequisites

- PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver (or qualifying entry-level certification)

- 12 years or older

- Good physical health

FLYING AFTER DIVING

For your safety, we require allowing at least 18 hours on the surface after your last dive of the day before flying. Flying too soon after diving increases the risk of decompression sickness, as your body needs time to release excess nitrogen.

Please remember to check your flight departure time in advance and plan your dives accordingly.
